The Detox Science You Need to Know

Improve your chances of defeating addiction for good by learning what you need to know about detox science and detox safety. At the Las Vegas Rapid Detox Medical Clinic, we believe in ensuring our patients are fully informed and capable of making educated decisions about their health. You are welcome to give us a call or contact us online for in-depth information on our rapid detox procedure.

The most important part of detox science to understand is that there are three components to narcotic addiction: physical addiction, psychological addiction, and social influence. Our addiction treatment only addresses the physical addiction and, since every patient is different, we cannot promise to eliminate it completely. In fact, medical ethics and regulations in many licensure jurisdictions forbid doctors from offering any guarantee of safety or success for a medical procedure. We adhere to these rules and strive to ensure all our patients are completely informed before proceeding with any kind of treatment.

For your detox safety, you must combine our treatment with psychological counseling to avoid a relapse, as well as potential symptoms from the treatment. Anyone involved with detox science will tell you that fighting addiction is a massive lifestyle change. This change comes with many symptoms that should be addressed in long-term counseling to prevent a relapse. After completing any kind of addiction treatment, patients may suffer from any of the following:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Dysphoria
  • Feeling Tired
  • Feeling of Boredom
  • Feeling of Loss of Purpose
  • Feeling of Psychological Craving for Drugs
  • Generalized Feeling of Weakness
  • Insomnia
  • Loss of Appetite

Counseling Required for Full Detox Safety

Detox safety requires all patients to undergo long-term counseling to prevent a relapse after addiction treatment. While our eight-hour treatment is highly effective at eliminating your body’s physical addiction, it does not address the mental influences behind your problem. There are a number of psychological issues that can contribute to addiction, such as anxiety, depression, dependent personality traits, poor impulse control, and other personality problems.

By working with a mental health professional for six months or more after rapid detox treatment, you can work on these underlying emotional problems and avoid a drug relapse. Detox science has shown time and again that intensive and comprehensive counseling is the most effective way to overcome your addiction for good and transform your life.

A Highly Trained Staff to Ensure Your Safety and Comfort

When you need ultra rapid detox treatment, put your health in our hands. Our team is highly experienced and well-trained to work with patients suffering from the toughest narcotic addictions. We followed the strictest detox science and safety standards to ensure your safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

The rapid detox procedure is performed by Dr. Thomas C. Yee, MD, a double board-certified anesthesiologist with special training in critical care, pain management, and cardiac surgery anesthesia. He has worked on thousands of anesthesia cases for open heart surgeries, intensive care unit patients, and patients with chronic pain. Only one patient is worked on at a time at our clinic. Along with one to three assistants, Dr. Yee focuses all his attention on you and your needs for the full length of your treatment and initial recovery.

We ensure your comfort and detox safety throughout the procedure by carefully anesthetizing you. Our rapid detox technique requires you to be under anesthesia for eight hours so you do not experience the intense withdrawal symptoms brought on by the aggressive detoxification. We continuously monitor your brain, heart, respiration, oxygenation, and blood pressure to deliver the optimal degree of anesthesia. When you wake up, you only feel residual withdrawal symptoms, which most patients can tolerate with ease.
